Red Ribbon Week Calendar 2018

 

Monday, October 29th –  “Life is Your Journey, Travel Drug Free” – Wear your favorite travel or vacation t-shirt.

Instagram Challenge Begins – “Nobody Looks Good in Stripes!”

  • RRW jail cell will be set up in the cafeteria as a selfie station.
  • Students can pose for pictures and post their images to #chsrrw2018
  • Each student who posts is entered once into a prize drawing. Must be an original post, no tagging. Post away but one entry per student.
  • Students who post will be entered into a drawing for 3 – $50 Target Gift Cards.Drawing will be live on the Friday morning announcements.

Kick off our “Stay Clean” drive for the Drake House

  • We will run a 5 day drive to collect full size toiletry items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, shampoo, etc. for the Drake House.
  • Drake House is a non-profit that provides housing and educational programs for homeless single mothers.
  • Collection bins will be located in the front atrium, outside of Mr. Dale’s room and in the Learning Commons.
  • SADD will provide carpool collectors in the am.
  • Beta Club, NHS, Anchor Club, Flood, FCA – receive service hours for donated items.

 

Tuesday, October 30th  – “Tacky Tourist Tuesday”

                                                          Police Officer Q&A

  • Ask questions to officers about their work and the drug enforcement unit.
  • The station will be set up in the cafeteria.
  • Police Officers to prepare a short presentation for students.
  • Earbuds/Halloween candy giveaways for stopping by and asking questions.

Police Officer and Fire Department Breakfast

  • Centennial thanks our local law enforcement for their service. Breakfast, juice and coffee in the learning commons conference room from 7:30-8:30am.
