  • 2012 Graduates Achieve Highest Ranks in Scouting

    Six seniors earned the highest rank in scouting: Gold Award Scount Mallory McGoff and Eagle Scouts Jeremy Cross, Wil Charlton, Bobby Fowler, Trevor Hymel, and Will Segars.
  • Sarah Mitchell Wins State in the Discus

    Junior Sarah Mitchell was crowned State Champion after winning the Discus at the Girls State Track & Field Championship Meet in Albany on Saturday, May 5. Mitchell set a new school record in the process of capturing the state crown with her toss of 136-07. Mitchell also competed earlier in the day in the shot put and paced the Lady Knights to a 22nd place overall finish.
  • They've Got Skills

    Forty-eight Centennial students participated in the Skills USA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Competitions March 15-17 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Centennial brought home 24 medalists: 11 won gold, 7 earned silver, and 6 brought home bronze. Six of the gold medalists are advancing to National Competition. Additionally, Drew Erickson was elected as a State Officer and Brian Bradley has been nominated by Georgia to run for a National Office.
  • Students Excel at Emory Model UN

    Twenty nine students competed in the Southern United States Model United Nations conference November 12-13 at Emory University. Three school awards were given out at the completion of the conference; Centennial earned the top overall award. In addition to winning first place at the conference, eight students earned individual awards in their committees: Nikki Frieman, Caroline McCall, Chris Robb, Ken Taylor, Anna Squires, Michael Nozick, Eric Beeler, and Gary Castellanos.

Summer Office Hours
The main office and guidance office will be open during the summer every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-3pm except for the week of July 4.
Getting your license this summer?
Certificates of attendance are needed to get your learners’ or drivers’ license. Please make sure you fill one out at the attendance office by Wednesday, May 16 for pickup Friday, May 18. There will not be anyone here to take care of this during the summer!
Final Exam Schedule
Final exams for Spring 2012 begin on Friday, May 11 for seniors and on Tuesday, May 15 for students in grades 9-11. May 15-19 are early release days and students will be released at 12:50pm. | Exam Schedule
Summer School 2012
Summer school will be held at Centennial from Monday, June 4th – Monday, June 25th. This is an excellent opportunity for students to repeat classes they have not passed. Students should email their counselor or complete a summer school request form (available in the Counseling Office) to notify their counselor of the desired summer school course(s) after carefully reading the summer school flyers, which include registration and payment information. Registration is held each Tuesday and Thursday before and after school in the Counseling Office and will continue through May 18.
Summer Reading for the 2012-13 School Year
Several classes have posted the books that are assigned for summer reading. The Media Center is offering these books at a low cost. This is not a complete list of courses with summer assignments; please see individual teachers with questions. Orders are due April 27. | Book List and Order Form
Parking Procedures for 2012-13
The procedures for obtaining on-campus parking for the 2012-13 school year have been posted. Juniors and seniors will be able to pick up a parking application beginning Monday, April 30. See the procedures and parking timeline documents for additional information.[More]
A-1 Driving School
A-1 Driving School has partnered with Fulton County Schools to spread the importance of safe driving. They offer Centennial students $50 off the already reduced fee of $399, which includes a package of 6 hours of driving and 30 hours of classroom instructions. [More]

The Fulton County School System screens students for eligibility for gifed services twice a year. See the flyer about the automatic screening and classroom screening process and how students are referred for gifted placement testing. [More]

Claire Garland is a second-round qualifier for the 2012 North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad. She scored in the top 100 out of almost 1600 students across the US and Canada and is one of the five Georgia qualifiers. [More]

Student Fares Well at Cougar Classic Debates
The Centennial Debate Team traveled to Chattahoochee High School on Saturday, October 1 to participate in the Cougar Classic Debates.
